Bio

Ester Rossi was born in 1996 and started learning flute at the age of 10. Until 2018, she studied flute with Francesca Tarrega and chamber music with Hans Schmidt at Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music. She won the first prize in the national “Severino Gazzelloni Flute Competition” in 2015 and the International Marsyas Flute Competition in 2017.

In 2019, she was admitted to the Conservatory of Music Santa Cecilia in Rome, and began her jazz studies with Lorenzo Placidi. In 2020, she took part in jazz concert series, under the artistic direction of Siena Jazz Association. 

Rossi, now centered in Rome, in addition to his teaching position in Swiss school, is frequently invited to several gigs as flutist, primarily to Mississippi Jazz Club. She also plays as flutist in the Santa Cecilia chamber orchestra. She continues her master studies at Santa Cecilia Conservatory with Prof. Placidi.
